Free to use,
millisecond-accurate timing

Our track has been running for over a decade — this is the timing software we built for ourselves, now shared with everyone. Full features, free forever, quick to operate in Chinese. One transponder per car: laps the instant you cross the line, live ranking, charts and voice on one screen — and it all runs on your local network, no internet needed.

Unlimited cars

Cars are identified by transponder, so there are no lanes to assign and no cap on how many run at once. The MYLAPS RC4 and EasyLAP EZL01 decoders can both be connected at once, so cars sharing the track never interfere with each other.

See it all in real time

Laps, lap times, fastest lap, Top 5 / Top 10, consistency and more: 11 columns that refresh on every lap, with position changes visible the moment they happen. Lap-time charts, training heatmaps and driver comparisons make that progress visible.

Works offline

Timing, ranking, statistics and voice announcements all run on the timing host itself, so a venue with no network still races normally. The weather display is an optional online feature that can stay switched off; the cloud archive is still in development and is not enabled in this version.

Live timing

Every lap, the second it happens

The moment a transponder crosses the line, lap time, position and statistics refresh together. The table below is a UI demo: a script pushes data at a realistic race pace, and positions swap as smoothly as they do in a real race.

Live timing Racing 08:07
Ranking mode: fastest lap Demo data · in real use the values come from the decoder
  1. Fastest lap, recalculated on the spot

Laps are timed as they are counted, and the fastest lap is recalculated every valid lap. When it improves, that cell lights up.

  2. Positions that actually move

Ranking is by fastest lap. When someone sets a quicker time, their row slides up and the order settles in front of you.

  3. Average and gap follow along

Average lap time and laps behind update with every crossing, so you can see at a glance who is catching whom.

Training analysis

Track your progress, lap by lap

Sessions save automatically, so you can review lap-time trends, distribution and the ten fastest laps at any time. Valid laps are judged on a 5–20 s window, so bad data never skews the statistics.

Analysis screen: lap-time distribution bars, peak-hours curve, multi-driver progress trend lines and the ten fastest laps.
Analysis page: lap-time distribution, peak hours, driver progress trend and the ten fastest laps

One record per session

Sessions are stored per run and can be searched and filtered by date and class. Each one shows total laps, fastest lap, average, Top 5, the best three consecutive laps and consistency, with every lap listed and marked valid or invalid.

One profile per driver

Drivers can have an avatar, class, category and chassis brand, plus their own pronunciation for the announcements, and one driver can carry several transponder IDs. Progress is summarised week by week, so you can see at a glance whether the practice is paying off.

Broadcast & TV Not available in this version

The same data, on the big screen and on stream

The timing host also serves broadcast graphics and a leaderboard page: point your streaming software at one address and you are done. The background is transparent, so it overlays the camera feed directly. No green screen needed.

Installs right on the TV or the TV box

Not available in this version

The Android TV app goes straight onto the TV or the TV box. No HDMI cable from the timing host, and no second computer to drive the screen. It pulls the live standings over your local network.

The data comes from the timing host, where the decoders are connected; the TV only needs to be on the same LAN and needs no internet. Once it opens, you will download the APK from this site, copy it to a USB drive and install it on the TV.

  • Android TV
Android 10 or newer (Android 14 boxes recommended).
  • Install & reconnect
Install from a USB drive or over ADB; press Back on the remote to re-enter the host IP.
  • Demo mode
Offline demo data runs without a host, handy for customer demos.

The TV app is not available in this version; it will ship in a later release.

  • One address into your streaming software
Add a browser source in OBS or similar software and enter http://<timing-host-ip>:4000/overlay/. Nothing to configure inside the page.
  • Transparent background, no green screen
Transparency is on by default, so it overlays camera footage straight away. Its styling ships with the page, so it will not go blank at a venue with no internet.
  • TV leaderboard
Install one app on a TV box to put live standings up in the venue, or just open the leaderboard page in a browser.
  • Any device on the LAN
The timing host serves several clients at once: phones, tablets and camera positions all see the same live data in a browser.
Language & voice

Switch the interface language, hear your lap times

The interface and the voice announcements cover English, Chinese and Japanese, so you do not have to watch the screen to know your time. The announcement language can be changed on its own, or muted.

  • Three-language interface
Menus, tables, statistics and buttons follow the language you pick, so coaches and drivers can read the same race in their own language.
  • Announcements across the whole race
Lap times are spoken as they happen, a dedicated chime marks a new fastest lap, and the start countdown, remaining time, final lap and winner are announced too.

Need another language? Contact us to have the interface text and spoken phrases built for you.

The things a practice track actually needs

Voice announcements

English, Chinese and Japanese voices. Lap times are called out as they happen, a chime marks a new fastest lap, and cues cover the start countdown and the final 30 / 20 / 10 seconds.

Quick race

Start a 3 / 5 / 8-minute race in one click. A 5-4-3-2-1 start signal sends the field off, the final lap is announced when time runs out, and the winner is declared as the standings freeze.

Training heatmap

Review training load by day, week or cumulative: a 52-week grid makes attendance and lap counts obvious at a glance.

Lap-time heat strip

Every lap in a stint is colour-coded by pace, so the laps where you dropped off, and the ones that set a new best, stand out at a glance.

Driver comparison

Overlay the lap-time curves of up to four drivers at once to compare before and after practice, or a teammate against a rival.

Export & reports

Export lap details, a statistics summary or a full report to CSV, and print a practice report to take away.

Automatic stint splitting

A car that leaves the track for more than 60 seconds starts a new stint, with fastest lap and Top 5 reset per stint, so sharing the track never muddles the numbers.

On-the-spot registration

An unregistered transponder opens a quick sign-up dialog the moment it crosses the line: type a name and the car carries on, with no need to stop the session.

Hardware

Connects to the decoder you already own

Both mainstream decoders are supported: MYLAPS RC4 over the network and EasyLAP EZL01 over USB. You can use the hardware your track already has. Timing resolution is 1 millisecond and lap times are shown to 4 decimal places.

Precision: the decoder reports timing in 1-millisecond units, and lap times are displayed to 4 decimal places (0.001 s), matching IFMAR convention. Laps are filtered to between 3 and 300 seconds, and 5–20 s counts as a valid lap.

Two hardware families, one timing host

The timing host accepts both decoders: MYLAPS RC4 over the network and EasyLAP EZL01 over USB. The Decoder page gives each decoder its own panel, connection status and packet/signal statistics, so you can use whichever hardware your track already has.

Using a second decoder as a second timing point (sector splits, or verifying a joker line) is custom development rather than a standard feature. it has to be scoped for your layout, your hardware and how the results should be presented.

Sector and joker-line setups are quoted per track. Send us a sketch of your track and we will scope it with you.
